Meet the Team

Carl Gordon

FOUNDER - GENERAL CONTRACTOR - ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER

Carl is a third-generation home builder with a foundation in architectural design. He has developed multiple businesses in Dallas and the Hill Country area. He is honored to be a veteran and proud to have served in the Marine Corps during Desert Shield and Desert Storm (1990-1994) as a machinegun squad leader. The Marine Corps sharpened his natural affinity for details and doing the job correctly, the first time.

Carl is a Hill Country native and married to his Ingram High School sweetheart, Regina Boles Gordon. They have two children, Seth and Leah, along with a daughter-in-law Jes, and two grandbabies, Samuel and Elijah. Carl and Regina love family and enjoy experiencing culture through travel and friendships.

Darrin Diffee

SUPERINTENDENT

Darrin is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, having honed his expertise on both the sales and building sides.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Darrin dedicated ten years to serving as an international missionary, working in diverse regions across Latin America, the former Soviet bloc, Eastern Europe, and India, including countries such as Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Cuba, Belarus, and Romania.

In his free time, Darrin enjoys outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, and hiking, as well as spending quality time with friends and family. Together with his wife Robin, they are proud parents to four wonderful children: Brady, Madeline, Maribeth, and Aydan. He is also the proud grandfather of Parker and David.

Andrea Setnan

OFFICE MANAGER

Andrea, a former Minnesotan started calling Kerrville home in 1982.  Tivy high school and Schreiner College prepared her for a 25-year commitment to the Kerrville State Hospital where she was Regional Laundry Director until retirement.  She has also developed a business moving manufactured homes and enjoyed using her talents wearing many other hats along the way.  Her love to work with numbers and her variety of skills adds to the ELEMENT team.

Andrea has three children Ashley, John, and David along with seven grandchildren and the added blessings of two great grandchildren that all live in the Kerrville area.  She enjoys spending time with family, friends, traveling and being inquisitive. 😊

Kim Richards

Kim is a designer, contractor, and founder of Dwell Well. She is also married to Greg Richards and a mother of five adult daughters. After years of working on the charity front and as a stay-at-home mom, Kim started Dwell Well. 

Dwell Well was born out of a passion for hospitality and service. This 18-year dream led to the first purchase of a vacation rental bungalow, which further verified her passion. She renovated that cozy cottage and even have plans for more. That experience rekindled a passion for all things construction.

POOLS

Paul Nakalanga

Paul began his journey in the pool industry under the mentorship of Emily’s father, Mark. Starting as an assistant in the field, he was responsible for carrying materials and mixing cement. Through dedication and hard work, Paul progressed through various roles within the company, gaining experience in plumbing, equipment programming, sales, and supervision.

With a rich background in pool construction and a passion for creating stunning outdoor spaces, Paul has extensive knowledge in all aspects of pool building and concrete work. Together with Emily, they are excited to embark on this journey with you, providing exceptional service and quality that exceeds your expectations.
